Yes. The MetaGeek App also supports the WLAN Pi Go (Oscium’s USB-C Wi-Fi 7 capture adapter) as well as many standard off-the-shelf USB Wi-Fi adapters.

That said, the Oscium Nomad is the recommended solution for most users because it enables simultaneous capture across four channels, making it ideal for advanced workflows. Oscium strongly recommends using either the Nomad or the WLAN Pi Go. While the app does support other USB adapters, they are not fully optimized, so you may experience reduced performance.

For the best experience, use either the Nomad or WLAN Pi Go.

MetaGeek App runs on Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 (Memory Integrity must be disabled on Windows 11) and is currently in macOS beta as of March 2026. For iOS-based site surveys, the Oscium Nomad is also compatible with Hamina Onsite, Airtool Pi, and Airtool 2 (separate apps with their own subscriptions).

Your software keeps working without an active MetaCare subscription, but you'll no longer have access to software updates or new features. Renewal is $250/year for MetaGeek App, billed annually at my.metageek.com. If your MetaCare lapses, you can resubscribe at any time to regain access to the latest version.

Yes. You can pair the Packets Bundle with a separate Wi-Spy Lucid spectrum analyzer to combine Layer 2 packet visibility with full RF spectrum analysis. If you want everything in one purchase, the Complete Bundle includes both packet and spectrum tools.

One-time purchase. Nomad hardware is yours to keep, and MetaGeek App is a perpetual license. MetaCare is an optional annual renewal that keeps you eligible for new software releases. Your tools keep working even if you don't renew.

When paired with the Oscium Nomad included in this bundle, MetaGeek App can perform simultaneous packet capture on up to four different channels across 2.4, 5, 6. 7 GHz bands. It also automatically detects events like roaming, retries, and association failures.
